Bishop John of St Asaph, Archdeacon John Thelwell of Berriew and Alex Glanville, Head of Property Services at the Church in Wales attended a Harvest Festival in St. Tyssil’s Church, Llandyssil at 6.00 pm on Wednesday 24th
- September. The service included a formal exchange of the new 25 year lease on the Old School Hall.
Archdeacon John Thelwell of Berriew is advertising for a new vicar for the parishes of Montgomery, Forden and Llandyssil. It is hoped that interviews can be arranged fairly soon if there are suitable applications.
Following a recent Parochial Church Council Meeting it was agreed to arrange a meeting between the PCC and the architect as a follow up for a faculty application for a disabled toilet and a refreshment bar in the Church.
The Church has its annual Coffee Morning booked in the Town Hall, Montgomery on Saturday 22nd November. Any donations or produce will be gratefully received.
A carol concert is to be held in the Church on Saturday 6th December with a Christmas Tree Festival. Several people will be approached to take part in the concert and it is hoped that organisations that use the Old school will support the Church by supplying and decorating a tree.
